The role

Our online store is seeking a confident leader to step into the role of Trainee Manager on a Fixed-Term basis until 12 December 2021. The Digital Fulfilment team packs and dispatches all of our online orders out to customers across Australia and works closely with Manufacturing and Brand Communications teams to ensure the experience that our online customers receive is second to none.

The Digital Fulfilment Trainee Manager will help to manage our vibrant and energetic Digital Fulfilment team, and will help to plan for latest product releases and seasonal peaks. In this role you will use and develop skills in people management, stock control, time management and the art of a perfectly packed customer order. This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week (usually Monday-Friday). We are looking for candidates with demonstrated leadership ability and can work and problem solve effectively under pressure and without supervision. This position is located in Villawood, Sydney. If commuting by train, Leightonfield station is a short walk away.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, feedback and training to Team Leader and Digital Fulfilment Assistants to ensure that customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched according to LUSH standards in a timely manner and to a high quality standard.
  • Work with the Digital Fulfilment Manager to Coordinate the flow of work between different tasks in the department to ensure that customer orders, stock deliveries and other administrative tasks are being prioritised appropriately.
  • Ensure that stock management procedures are adhered to, including the regular maintenance of inventory systems, placing weekly orders for stock and conducting a monthly stock take.
  • Assist with stock holding management and placing orders as required of packaging and sundry items within Brand guidelines.
  • Enter and maintain sales, stock and payroll data accurately and regularly.
  • Assist manager with costs according to Management Accounts and continuously strive to increase profit.
  • Assist the Digital Fulfilment Manager to prepare effectively for peak trading periods to ensure that customers receive a consistent excellent service throughout the year.
  • Assist the manager with staffing plan and rosters according to the staff budget and with approving employees timesheets in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide regular feedback on product, packaging and delivery quality in order to reduce errors and improve the customer experience.
  • Store, distribute and redistribute products between stores when required, liaising with local LUSH stores as needed.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time to meet the changing needs of the business.
