General Manager ANZ - Retail (Parental Leave Cover)

A unique opportunity has arisen to cover the role of General Manager of the LUSH Retail business in the Australian and New Zealand region ("ANZ Region").  Since 1997, we have been delighting our Australian and New Zealand customers with our unique products and award-winning customer experience.  We currently operate 35 stores within the region.  Now is the time to join our business and pioneer retail post-COVID and re-invigorate the landscape.

The Role

The role of General Manager Retail is responsible for leading the Retail and Brand teams to consistently deliver sales expectations through the development and execution of an effective sales and marketing strategy within the ANZ Region.  Through collaboration with the Regional and Global leadership teams, this role ensures that the Region exceeds budget and improves profit and KPIs, whilst ensuring all teams are providing an exceptional customer experience in line with brand values.

The successful candidate will be a naturally strong leader who can provide guidance, expertise, and management to ensure procedures, systems, and training all translate to service excellence to all stakeholders.  They will continue to develop and nurture the culture of collaboration, high performance and sales excellence that has been built within the team.  Other key attributes required for the role are significant experience building and leading strong teams; the ability to demonstrate superior communication and stakeholder management; a proven track record of being a trusted and strong leader, and forecasting and retail planning experience.  Most importantly, they are Customer focused, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.

Based in Sydney, the role will commence 1 March 2022 and will be for a period of thirteen months, ending in March 2023.  The successful candidate must hold the right to work in Australia.
